A pair of paintings will be up for grabs during Park Fete festivities in Escalon, part of a drawing to benefit the Escalon Historical Society Museum.

Society member Debbie Vilotti has donated the paintings, done by her family, and tickets are available for the drawing at the museum. The winner will be drawn on Saturday, July 15.

As part of the upcoming Park Fete weekend, the Society will provide rides in the parade for seniors 80 and over and the museum at 1630 Main St. will be open throughout the day on July 15 for tours. For those that wish to ride in the parade, call the museum at 209-838-8070 by July 5, leave your name and phone number and someone will call you back to schedule a ride. Parade time on July 15 is 11 a.m.

The museum remains open for visitors and tours weekly on Wednesdays, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., as well as by request.

Reminisce Day is the first Wednesday of each month and all are welcome.

Upcoming events include a bus trip to Jack London Square Flea Market, tentatively scheduled for Sept. 9; call the museum regarding date, time and price.

On Oct. 14, a trip to Black Oak Casino is planned; a mid-November trip on the ACE train for shopping in Santa Clara on Santana Row is also scheduled.

The museum is also continuing to sell fire station bricks for placement near the first firehouse monument on Main Street; regular size bricks are $100 and $200 for a double.
