A local businessman and glass and pottery collector brought examples of that collection to this past week’s Memories Day at the Riverbank Historical Museum in neighboring Riverbank.

The Thursday morning event drew a dozen members of the Historical Society, which staffs and operates the museum.

Will Hecht, owner of the Heck of a Deal Discount Shop in Escalon, presented a program on pottery and glass favored by collectors.

He brought several examples from his collection of different styles, artists and manufacturers to show.

Volunteers from the Riverbank Historical Society open that city’s museum at 3237 Santa Fe Street in downtown Riverbank from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
