El Portal Parents Club is planning for its third annual Casino Night on Friday, Sept. 29.

This will be the club’s one and only fundraiser of the year, so organizers said they need it to be as successful as possible, in an effort to continue funding enrichment opportunities and educational needs for the middle school.

“We are in the process of collecting donations for our Silent Auction,” said Tracey Miller. “We are also inviting local restaurants, caterers and specialty stores to donate food trays, of all sorts, to serve during the event. If you, or someone you know, are able to help in this capacity, please let us know. No donation is too small.”

Also, organizers are putting together a “Taste of Home” themed basket and are in need of Escalon based items to fill it; from gifts cards to eateries, salon certificates, gym access, nuts, oils, etc. – looking for all things Escalon. If you have something you can contribute, or know of someone who would be willing, they will gladly accept it.

“We are able to provide our Tax ID information, upon receipt, so that you can write off your giving,” Miller added.
