Fireworks Booths Prep For Late June Opening
firework

Four fireworks booths will once again be available around the city of Escalon in late June and early July, selling the ‘Safe and Sane’ fireworks ahead of the July 4 holiday.

Local community service groups and organizations are able to enter a ‘lottery’ each year for the available booths, with the winners drawn at random. Each applicant must meet specific eligibility criteria.

One booth is always set aside by the City of Escalon and will be run by the Escalon Parks Foundation, with proceeds benefiting the ongoing Escalon Skate Park project. The booth will be set up along Jackson Avenue, in front of D’Boni’s Pizza.

Also securing booths this year were the Escalon High School FFA Ag Boosters, which is joining with the American Legion to operate their booth in the parking lot at Big Boy Market, also along Jackson Avenue. The Escalon High School Sports Boosters group will have a booth in the parking lot at MarVal Main Street Market on McHenry Avenue and the final booth, which will be set up near The Barn along Highway 120, just past the railroad tracks at the city’s west end, will be staffed by Escalon Covenant Church.

The fireworks booths can open for business on Tuesday, June 28 and stay open through midnight on Monday, July 4.
