Hoping to help support the Firefighters Burn Institute in Sacramento, members of the Escalon Fire Department will be out in force the weekend of May 20 and 21, Saturday and Sunday, offering their turnout boots to passing motorists in the annual Fill the Boot campaign.

The firefighters will be staged at the main intersection, where Highway 120, McHenry Avenue and Escalon-Bellota Road converge in the center of the community. Motorists will be asked to donate and then will be given a flyer to place on their dashboard so they aren’t asked again the next time they come through the intersection during the weekend.

Expect to see the firefighters out there both days, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
