Escalon Schools Prepare For Graduation Week

The first of the 2017-18 school year graduation ceremonies in Escalon is on the schedule for Wednesday, May 30.

Following the long Memorial Day weekend, the final few days of school for the year are due, and include graduations for three straight days, Wednesday through Friday, May 30 through June 1.

On Wednesday, May 30, Gateway Academy charter school is planning three separate ceremonies, for kindergarten graduates at 9 a.m.; eighth grade graduates at 10 a.m.; and senior high graduates at 11 a.m.

Also on Wednesday, graduates from Vista High will take the stage in the Performing Arts Center for a 6:30 p.m. ceremony.

On Thursday, May 31, the eighth grade students at El Portal Middle School will convene for their gradation with a 7 p.m. start time in the stadium at Engel Field on the high school campus.

Finally, the Class of 2018 at Escalon High School will gather for their commencement on Friday night, June 1 at 7 p.m., in the stadium at Engel Field.

Friday night will also feature the Sober Grad party for the high school graduates, offered an all-night event in a safe and sober environment to share their final night of high school with friends and classmates.
