National 4-H Week is taking place October 2nd through 8th to help recognize and rally young people ‘To make the best better’. More than 6 million young people across the country will celebrate National 4-H Week. The week helps bring to focus what is happening nationally as well as locally in our 4-H program.
The Escalon 4-H Club has set up a special display at the Escalon Historical Museum located at 1630 Main Street in Escalon to help celebrate National 4-H Week. Many different items are there to view including the history of our 4-H club, uniforms used currently and historically, and displays used at the San Joaquin County AgFest.
New members are still able to join the Escalon 4-H. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, Oct. 13th at the Van Allen Elementary School located at 21051 E. Highway 120 in Escalon. The club offers many different projects for individuals who range in ages from 9 to 19. Many projects focus on caring for livestock as well as community service and scientific based activities.
