Chosen recently as the Students of the Month at El Portal Middle School were sixth grader Mason Simas, seventh grader Drew Cunningham and eighth grade student Daniel Flores. The recognition program at El Portal is sponsored by the Escalon Kiwanis Club. Sixth grade student Mason Simas was nominated by teacher Kayla Jefferson for his academic growth and overall improvement.
