U.S. Representative Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) on Tuesday released a report featuring a snapshot of the agro-economy in California’s 10th congressional district (CA-10) and detailing topics discussed at the October 2016 Agricultural Roundtable he hosted at Modesto Junior College.
“Here in the Central Valley, we pride ourselves on a distinguished history and heritage of putting food on dinner tables across America,” said Rep. Denham. “With such a large role in California’s agricultural output, it’s important that the Valley’s farming community’s priorities are discussed and represented.”
Rep. Denham hosted more than two dozen attendees at an Agricultural Roundtable at the Modesto Junior College Ag Pavilion in October 2016 with the goal of updating the Central Valley’s farming community of legislative activity with the House Committee on Agriculture and moderating discussion amongst participants about the issues they face. The report highlights discussions at the roundtable, including focus on the upcoming 2018 Farm Bill, water, labor and immigration, trade and state and federal regulations.
