The Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library launched a new program this week that offers students of all ages live, one-to-one help from professional tutors online. Any community member with a library card can access the new online services from the library or right from home on any computer or mobile device connected to the Internet. The K-12 Student Center, College Center and Adult Career Center from Tutor.com includes live, one-to-one tutoring, a real-time writing center and 24/7 access to worksheets, videos and tutorials in just about any subject. The live, online tutoring and résumé writing service is available Fridays from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Customers will also have the option of connecting to live, online tutoring help in Spanish, as well. The service is completely free for the community. To access the service, visit the library’s website at www.ssjcpl.org.

“We are thrilled to offer this service to our communities and excited that the tutoring and information is available in both English and Spanish. Not only can people access videos and worksheets for self-guided learning, but on Fridays between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. there is the option to receive live help from a tutor for one-on-one instruction,” said City Librarian Suzy Daveluy.

Tutor.com is available for use now via online links and will be shared with the public continually in a variety of ways.

Students of all ages and job seekers can find the help they need by simply visiting the library’s website and looking for Tutor.com.

Tutor.com has a network of over 2,500 professional academic and career tutors who are ready to help with just about any question you may have. Here’s the type of help you can get in each center.
