A public hearing regarding the first cycle General Plan amendment for San Joaquin County is scheduled for Tuesday, April 11 in the county Board of Supervisors chambers on the sixth floor of the county administration building.

The county’s Planning Commission has recommended approval of the county’s update to General Plan maps for the 2035 General Plan.

An initial study has been prepared indicating the project will not have a significant impact on the environment, and a Negative Declaration has been prepared for the project. The project is applicable countywide.

At the same meeting, the county will host a pair of public hearings on projects denied by the Planning Commission, one for a 170 bed long term skilled nursing facility in Stockton and one for a 1,560 square foot agricultural store in Lodi.

The county board will host the public hearings starting at 1:30 p.m. on April 11 and at that time will receive oral and written statements regarding the three applications. The county administration building is at 44 N. San Joaquin St., Stockton.
