The Escalon/Farmington Community Garden Club is accepting new members and is planning its first meeting for Thursday, Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. at the Escalon Library. Meetings will be on the second Thursday of the month.
All interested are encouraged to attend and grow with the Garden Club. There will be three areas of focus: Education, Conservation and Service. The educational component will focus on gardening, growing fruits and vegetables, floral design and landscape design. For conservation, learn about native plants and reforestation along with pollinators and water. Service will include getting involved with community enrichment, youth programs, civic projects and scholarship.
All are welcome to attend.
The library is at 1540 Second St., Escalon.
