Commission On Aging Applicants Being Sought

The City of Escalon is seeking applicants to fill an opening on the San Joaquin County Commission of Aging.

The Escalon City Council is accepting applications from residents of Escalon who are interested in serving on the San Joaquin County Commission on Aging.

The Commission on Aging serves as an advisory body on aging matters to both the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors and to the Department of Aging, it acts as San Joaquin County Long-Term Care Coordinating Council/Audit Day Health Care Planning Council and advises San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors on long-term care. The meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m. The Escalon City Council appoints one Escalon resident as a member to this Board for a three-year term.

Interested citizens can pick up an application at City Hall, 2060 McHenry Ave., Escalon or download the application packet from the city’s website. For questions, call 209-691-7400.

Applications must be submitted by Friday, June 30 by 5 p.m.
