Civil War Coming To Knights Ferry

Secure the windows, settle the livestock, the cannons are returning to Knights Ferry for the annual Civil War Days Reenactment, set for this Saturday and Sunday, March 11 and 12.

Presented by the American Civil War Association, along with The Army Corps of Engineers, visitors can watch the re-enactment of the Union and Confederate battles several times throughout the weekend. There are also ongoing living history demonstrations depicting the lives of soldiers, women and children during the Victorian Era and Civil War.

Most of the events take place near the historic covered bridge, which is a short walk from the parking lot.

There is a suggested $5 donation for parking.

Battle times are: Saturday, March 11 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.; Sunday, March 12 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Gates open at 9 a.m.
