The Leadership Class at Escalon High School has plenty of students looking toward the future and ready to make this an outstanding year on the campus at EHS.

“Our focus as a class is to make EHS a greater place for all students through fun, relevant and inclusive student activities,” said teacher/advisor Michelle Canfield. “ASB (Associated Student Body) oversees and approves all student activities and business on campus, from fundraising, school wide events, club events, etc.”

The class is part of the regular school day and many of the campus leaders and class level officers and representatives are enrolled.

The ASB officers can be juniors or seniors, with the exception of the President, who has to be a senior. The president and vice president positons also require at least one year prior experience on ASB.

The DSBA, Director of Student Body Activities, group must be seniors and help plan and prepare for a variety of events throughout the school year.

“We will also be focusing on developing leadership skills, planning and preparing for both old and new ASB events and activities,” added Canfield. “My vision is to build an ASB program that is student led and driven to celebrate and unify our campus.”
