The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors is seeking volunteers to serve on several boards and commissions.

The deadline to submit applications is Friday, Aug. 17. The Board of Supervisors will consider qualified applications, received on or before the deadline, at the Board meeting of Sept. 11.

All members appointed by the Board of Supervisors will be required to attend training. Training dates and registration information will be provided by the Clerk of the Board upon appointment.

Assessment Appeals Board #1 – Two Positions;

Assessment Appeals Board #2 – Three Positions.

Qualifications are set forth in Revenue and Taxation Code Section 1624.05. A minimum of 5 years professional experience in this State as one of the following: certified public accountant or public accountant; licensed real estate broker; attorney; property appraiser accredited by a nationally recognized professional organization. Following successful appointment by the Board of Supervisors, appointees are required to submit a Form 700 - Statement of Economic Interest.

Building Board of Appeals – One Position

A Member shall be neither an elected officer nor an employee of San Joaquin County, but he shall not be disqualified as a member by his membership on, or employment by any other Board, Commission, Agency or Authority of, or created by or for San Joaquin County. Following successful appointment by the Board of Supervisors, appointees are required to submit a Form 700 - Statement of Economic Interest.

Children’s Services Coordinating Commission – One Position.

In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Committee – Six Positions.
