As the school year winds down, Dent Elementary has made it a practice to offer a free ‘family fun night’ with a variety of games and activities. No admission is charged, but there is a cost for food on site and a couple of extra events such as face painting. A nighttime movie shown at dusk was featured as well, with all the festivities hosted on the Dent campus this past Friday night, May 5.
Among the main attractions was a dunk tank with assistant principal Matt Loretelli taking a turn on the ‘hot seat’ and youngsters also had the chance to try their hand at a number of games for small prizes and treats. A putting green, bean bag toss, basketball throw and more were featured.
Organizers said it is a good time to celebrate the end of the school year in a fun, festive way, inviting the entire family to share the event.
