Tickets are now available for this year’s 11th Annual Dinner/Dance/Auction in honor of Grant and Jason Arnold, both of whom were tremendous local athletes. Grant Arnold passed away in 2005; Jason Arnold in 2008 and the dinner/dance event will be hosted in late September.

Grant Arnold was an outstanding athlete. He played football as well but his first love was wrestling. He graduated from Davis High School in 1972 and furthered his wrestling career at Modesto Junior College. He was inducted into the MJC Hall of Fame. He then went on to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and wrestled. He married and had three sons: Jason, Bryan and Grant; all were outstanding athletes following in their dad’s footsteps.

Jason Arnold was also an outstanding athlete following in his father’s footsteps. He was a wrestler, football, and baseball player. He excelled in all three sports, but his favorite was baseball. He graduated from Escalon High in 1991. Jason has three daughters, Alexandra, Madison and Hunter.

“We would like to thank you for your generous support over the past 10 years. With the earnings from the past scholarship dinners, we have been able to award a total of 108 local high school students a scholarship in the amount of $1000 each,” explained Bryan Arnold.

This year’s dinner/dance will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Escalon Sportsman’s Club on River Road.

Cocktails will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., dinner from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by dancing to the sounds of Soul Heart until midnight.

Tickets are $50 per person; open bar.
