The Escalon Library welcomed plenty of furry friends this past week, as puppeteer and ventriloquist Tony Borders brought in his ‘Run with the Animals’ act as part of the Summer Reading Program. Top photo, young helper Olivia, at right, laughs along with Borders as they interact with a monkey puppet. Below, youngsters thoroughly enjoy the show, which included everything from a kangaroo to a penguin, a zebra to a dolphin. Borders weaves in facts about all the puppet animals in his repertoire, providing a learning experience while the kids are having fun. Magic Dan entertained on Monday and next up, Bonnie Lockhart will present her ‘Songs and Music Games from Around the World’ today, Wednesday, June 22 at 1:30 p.m.
