Community members are encouraged to get involved with the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Escalon, which is being planned for this May at Escalon High School. This 24-hour team event raises money in the fight against cancer and increases awareness about how people can help reduce their risks. Cancer survivors are also honored guests at the event.
Make plans now to join in the ‘Kick Off’ for the 2017 Escalon Relay For Life, which is scheduled for next Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Escalon Community Ambulance office at 1480 Ullrey Ave.
Theme for 2017 is ‘Holidays’ with each team able to base their booth decorations and fundraising events around their chosen holiday.
Volunteers are also being sought to serve in a variety of committee positions; bring your talent and passion for helping others and join the ‘ELT – Event Leadership Team’ to put on this annual event.
