The Revolution – Wendy Melvoin, Lisa Coleman, Bobby Z., Brown Mark and Dr. Fink – is the world renowned band that brought their funky, bluesy, psychedelic sound to the limelight. The group gained international fame and prominence in the mid 1980’s after releasing Purple Rain, the soundtrack that is regarded as one of the greatest albums in history. To this day, the album is certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, selling more than 13 million copies and winning Best Soundtrack of the Year at the American Music Awards in 2016; 32 years after its initial release.

Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort is at 12222 New York Ranch Road, Jackson, CA 95642. For more information, call 800-822-9466 or visit JacksonCasino.com.

The Revolution has achieved two #1 Billboard 200 albums; Purple Rain and Around the World in a Day; multiple top ten singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and has won numerous awards; including three Grammys and three American Music Awards. The band officially disbanded in late 1986 after the Parade Tour. After the sudden death of their founding father and musical mentor, The Revolution has risen up and began to tour again, spreading the spirit of love and music in tribute and support of their beloved friend. They’re bringing their message of hope, love and unity to the Jackson Rancheria stage on Jan. 18; don’t miss it.
