GIFT DISTRIBUTION
REVISED TOY

Just a few days ahead of Christmas, the annual toy distribution hosted at the Escalon firehouse on Coley Avenue was Tuesday, Dec. 19. The collection boxes were available throughout the community for the effort during the past few weeks, collecting toys for boys and girls from infants to those 16 years old. They were taken to the fire station, many overflowing like these boxes, for separating out into age groups ahead of the Tuesday distribution. Officials said there were 104 youngsters signed up for the program this year, with a bag full of toys and gifts provided for each. Escalon Fire and Escalon American Legion Post 263 cooperatively offer the program, with additional assistance typically from the Escalon Police Department, Escalon Community Ambulance and volunteers.
