Escalon Consolidated Fire District responded to 38 calls for service during the period of Monday, Aug. 21 through Sunday, Aug. 27. Calls included:

SUNDAY, AUG. 27

6:38 a.m. – Hazardous condition, Main and Third; responded for a low hanging wire causing a hazard, remained on scene until arrival of Public Works.

1:45 p.m. – Possible gas leak reported, 2000 block Jackson; responded to scene, unable to locate any leak in the area.

4:05 p.m. – Emergency Medical Services call, 1500 block Tamara Court.

6:33 p.m. – Motor vehicle accident reported, Highway 120 and Harrold; responded to scene and found vehicle vs. sign, with one of the vehicle occupants deceased upon arrival. The victim was identified by the San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office as Gracie Serna, 21, of Stockton.

3:25 p.m. – Lift assist, 700 block Clough.

11:10 p.m. – Fire alarm sounding, 20000 block Sutliff; determined to be carbon monoxide alarm, false alarm.

10:42 a.m. – Fire alarm sounding, 1900 block East Yosemite; canceled in quarters, determined to be a scheduled drill.

11:44 a.m. – Structure fire reported, 25000 block Highway 4; Engine 1-1 provided mutual aid to Farmington Fire Department.

4:59 p.m. – EMS, 15000 block South Henry.

8:01 p.m. – EMS, 18000 block Hazelhurst.

10:06 p.m. – Motor vehicle accident, McHenry and Jones; Engine 1-1 and Rescue 1-1 assisted Medic 80 with a vehicle rollover.

TUESDAY, AUG. 22

1:21 a.m. – Motor vehicle accident, Highway 120 and Harrold; arrived on scene and located single vehicle into pole, non-injury; remained on scene until arrival of CHP.

1:22 a.m. – Fire alarm sounding, 1500 block Yosemite; false alarm.

1:24 p.m. – EMS, 1100 block Escalon Avenue.

4:15 p.m. – Structure fire reported, 4800 block Mission; mutual aid to Modesto Fire Department.
