Escalon Consolidated Fire District responded to 27 calls for service during the period of Monday, July 3 through Sunday, July 9. Calls included:
SUNDAY, JULY 9
12:19 a.m. – Motor vehicle accident, Highway 120 and French Camp Road; mutual aid to Ripon for a reported motorcyclist down in the area; unable to locate anyone around the motorcycle.
3:57 a.m. – Motor vehicle accident, 1100 block Yosemite; assisted Escalon Police Department on scene, vehicle drove off the side of the roadway onto railroad tracks. No ambulance requested, non-injury.
SATURDAY, JULY 8
3:05 p.m. – Emergency Medical Services call, 21000 block South Sexton.
5:03 p.m. – Vegetation fire, Escalon-Bellota and Lone Tree roads; crews responding found small roadside grass fire, extinguished.
11:58 p.m. – EMS, 1900 block Coley.
FRIDAY, JULY 7
7:47 a.m. – Service call, South Henry Road, cross of Lone Tree; dispatched for a person slumped over the wheel of a vehicle, unable to locate anyone in the area.
THURSDAY, JULY 6
4:24 a.m. – Structure fire reported, 20000 block Highway 120; Water Tender 1-1 responded with Ripon Fire; determined to be an ag reduction burn in Ripon District.
7:22 a.m. – Motor vehicle accident, 19000 block River Road; Engine 1-1 responded but was canceled upon arrival at scene.
9:32 a.m. – EMS call, 19000 block Ayers Avenue; canceled prior to arrival.
11:04 a.m. – Dispatched in error; 3000 block South Jack Tone, call not in Escalon District.
1:53 p.m. – EMS, 2200 block Vine.
2:20 p.m. – Motor vehicle accident, McHenry and Wigley; Engine 1-1 responded to non-injury accident, put down absorbent material for leaking vehicle fluid.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 5
10:09 a.m. – EMS call, 900 block First.
4:42 p.m. – Possible gas leak reported, 1300 block Escalon Avenue; odor of gas in the area, crews responded and scene turned over to PG&E.
9:59 p.m. – Possible water rescue, 23000 block Santa Fe; determined to be no medical need, no rescue.
10:19 p.m. – EMS, 12000 block Cometa.
TUESDAY, JULY 4
7:55 a.m. – EMS call, 27000 block Edwards Avenue.
8:25 a.m. – EMS, 1900 block Coley.
11:34 a.m. – EMS, 1700 block Carignane.
MONDAY, JULY 3
2:46 a.m. – EMS call, 22000 block East Mariposa Road.
7:20 a.m. – Lift assist, 27000 block Edwards.
9:23 a.m. – Vegetation fire, Steinegul and Dodds; responded for the report of a vegetation fire in the area, located a small roadside grass fire; assisted.
2:47 p.m. – Vegetation fire, Steinegul and Dodds; smoldering fence post in the area related to previous fire.
3:27 p.m. – Report of a vegetation fire, 24000 block River Road; large outside fire, 10 to 15 acres of river bottom on fire upon arrival on scene. Stanislaus and San Joaquin County units both responded along with air support doing water drops, fire contained to about 20 acres.
5:33 p.m. – EMS, Farmington covered call in the 19000 block of Van Allen Road.
5:34 p.m. – Small vegetation fire, 24000 block River Road; 250 feet of active fire line, extinguished by Air 101 and ground units; fire sparked by prior larger incident on River.
7:35 p.m. – EMS, 16000 block Henry Road. Farmington Fire Department covered the call.
