Fine Art On Display At Delicato Vineyards

Delicato Vineyards is in Manteca, off Highway 99 at French Camp Road and the Tasting Room is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Delicato Family Vineyards is hosting its 31st annual Fine Art Show in February.

The public is encouraged to visit the judged art that will be on display throughout the Tasting Room. All art in this show will be available for sale on a first come basis.

The Fine Art Show was open to entries by the creators of original art produced within the last three years. Mediums of acrylic, watercolor, pastel, oil, charcoal and ink are featured. Judging of the original pieces in the categories of Landscape, Floral, Portrait, Animals, Whimsical, Seascape and Other was conducted on Jan. 25, with 20 awards totaling over $1,600 available. Awards will be presented at a Saturday, Feb. 23 awards ceremony.

Numerous styles of art from many West Coast artists will be on display at the Delicato Fine Art Show, which runs from Feb. 2 through Feb. 22, with the awards ceremony on Feb. 23. Visitors are encouraged to taste the latest wine releases and cast a vote for a favorite piece of art. The winning artist will receive the coveted Visitors’ Choice Award.

Delicato Vineyards is open daily, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is off Highway 99 at exit 246, four miles north of Manteca.

The judge for 2019 was Peggi Kroll-Roberts, who teaches still-life and figure workshops with Plein Air Liaison, PAL atelier. She was trained at Arizona State University and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. An award winning artist, she worked as a fashion and advertising illustrator before making the transition into fine art.
