Following months of dedicated practice and hard work, a group of talented individuals proudly represented the Escalon FFA Chapter at the Cal Poly State Career Development Event (CDE) Finals.

The Livestock Team secured the ninth position statewide, earning notable sub-awards including fourth place in cattle, third in sheep, and seventh in reasons. Similarly, the Poultry Team demonstrated their best efforts, achieving an exceptional second place in the state. Among them, Cortney Ball stood out as first high individual, followed by Ace Lombardo in third place and Kaleia Jones in 10th. Lastly, under the guidance of Coach Matthew Terra, Escalon’s Agronomy Team claimed the silver bowl, solidifying their position as state champions. Remarkable individual achievements included Hannah Wampler in first place, Natalie Giuntoli in second, Trenton Silva in fourth, and Wyatt Riesenbeck in seventh statewide. As a result of this achievement, Escalon’s Agronomy CDE team will be representing the entire state of California at the National FFA Competition to be hosted in Indiana this fall.

All of the teams that participated did a fantastic job and the Escalon FFA Chapter can’t wait to see what the future holds for this group of individuals. Congratulations to all the participants.
