The Escalon Historical Society will host its annual Park Fete drawing, featuring a painting by a local artist. Here, Society President Vickie Mello displays the painting “Peace” done by Corrie Vanderhelm-Davis, depicting Lake Vernon in the Sierras. Tickets are available for $5 each and can be purchased at the Escalon Museum on Main Street during business hours or by calling 209-838-7176. The drawing will be held at the museum at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 13 during the city’s Park Fete celebration. The winner need not be present to win. The painting is a 23-by-33 oil on canvas.
