The Farmington United Methodist Church meets every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. for Martha Circle Shawl Ministry. During the year of 2010 the circle made and distributed shawls to Military Veterans (2), Active Military (4), UMW General Assembly (4), Golden Acres Care Home in Escalon (27), Haven of Peace (24) and Seasons of Life (60) for a total of 110. If you know where these comforting shawls are needed let the church know at 209-886-5441.

There has been construction going on in Farmington. Two new wells have been installed with new lines throughout Farmington limits, plus new meters. Upgraded fire hydrants have been installed which meet all fire standards. This project has been ongoing for about five years now and it is in its completion stage. This project was completely funded by (USDA) Rural Development and California Department of Public Health Safe Drinking Water State Development.

On Friday, February 11th each class at the Farmington School will be having Valentine's Day with cupcakes and cookies. It is called their sweet day of the month. The school will be closed during Presidents week, Monday February 14 through Friday February 18, 2011.

Mark your calendars for February 26th. "Pedaling Paths to Independence" which raises funds for "Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired" will be passing through Farmington, stopping at the 'Circle K' for refreshments. The pedaling group will start in Linden returning to Linden.
