The Escalon Unified School District recently completed a School Facilities Implementation Plan and is considering placing a School Facilities Bond on the November, 2020 ballot.

“The District has scheduled six staff/community member meetings to discuss this plan and to gather input from both the staff and community, regarding facility projects,” said School District Superintendent Ron Costa. “The District would appreciate staff and community member attendance in order to gather input on school district facility needs and priorities.”

Meeting dates and times are as follows:

Tuesday, Jan. 21, 3:30 p.m.to 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., El Portal Middle School multipurpose room.

Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Van Allen Elementary multipurpose room.

Thursday, Jan. 23, 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Dent Elementary primary cafeteria.

The afternoon and evening times as well as multiple locations are designed to make the sessions accessible to all.

“We want to get as many community members in attendance as possible,” noted Costa. “We want to hear their thoughts and gather their input.”
