Extensive Fire Damage At Farmington Home
ems

Crews responding to an early morning call of a structure fire in the 9000 block of Biederman Way in Farmington found a residence fully involved in flames upon arrival.

Farmington Fire Department officials said the call came in around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22. The first units arriving on scene discovered the roof on the home had already caved in. The homeowner, authorities added, had been working in another building on the property. Originally believing the smell of smoke in the area was a neighbor possibly burning something outside, the homeowner later discovered it was his own house on fire.

Along with Farmington firefighters responding to the scene, mutual aid was called in from Escalon, Collegeville, and Linden, all responding with equipment and manpower.

The single-story residential home was extensively damaged by the multi-alarm fire. There were no injuries reported. Officials said they were unable to determine a cause during their initial investigation and that is still to be determined.

Farmington Fire Department had crews on scene throughout the early morning hours Wednesday, finally getting all units back in service around noontime.
