Escalon Fire Calls 8-14-24

Escalon Consolidated Fire District responded to 31 calls for service during the period of Monday, Aug. 5 through Sunday, Aug. 11. Calls included:

SUNDAY, AUG. 11

4:42 p.m. – Emergency Medical Services call, 24000 block East River Road; McHenry Recreation Area.

5:45 p.m. – EMS call, 2200 block Jackson.

9:05 p.m. – River rescue, two females rescued off the river bank just below the McHenry Bridge, McHenry and River roads, the two were on a raft and brought it to shore due to darkness and requested assistance out of the area.

SATURDAY, AUG. 10

10:41 a.m. – Odor investigation, 1700 block Concord; Engine 1-1 responded to a reported odor of gas in the area; determined to be rotten garbage.

10:52 a.m. – Lift assist, 2200 block Mission.

1:59 p.m. – EMS call, 27000 block East Edwards.

5:55 p.m. – EMS, 400 block California.

10:29 p.m. – EMS, 29000 block East Orange Avenue.

FRIDAY, AUG. 9

5:12 a.m. – Report of a tree limb down in the roadway; Public Works also responded to the scene to remove the limb, 2200 block Coley.

7:07 a.m. – EMS call, 1100 block Escalon Avenue.

7:40 a.m. – EMS, 2400 block California.

9:44 a.m. – EMS, 1600 block David Drive.

6:39 p.m. – EMS, 1300 block Escalon Avenue.

6:52 p.m. – EMS, 1800 block California.

10:39 p.m. – EMS, 17000 block East Highway 120, mutual aid to Ripon; canceled.

11:56 p.m. – EMS, 19000 block South Harrold.

THURSDAY, AUG. 8

5:25 a.m. – Welfare check, 17000 block South Steinegul.

11:20 a.m. – EMS call, 30000 block Tressa Lane. Assisted Medic 80 on scene of an ATV accident.

3:39 p.m. – Structure fire reported, 14000 block Escalon-Bellota Road; units responded to a reported garage on fire. Determined to be a small, abandoned shed with a small fire on the roof, extinguished by responding units.

3:55 p.m. – Motor vehicle accident, Highway 120 and Brennan; units assisted Medic 80 on scene of accident and also cleaned debris out of the roadway. Three vehicles involved.

4:31 p.m. – EMS, 2500 block Jackson.

9:18 p.m. – EMS, 1100 block Escalon Avenue.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 7

9:36 a.m. – Vegetation fire, River Road, cross of Van Allen; report of a grass fire in the area, unable to locate anything.

1:10 p.m. – Fire alarm sounding, 13000 block South Valley Crest Drive; determined to be a carbon monoxide alarm, false alarm.

TUESDAY, AUG. 6

12:44 a.m. – Lift assist, 400 block Valdapena.

5:34 a.m. – EMS call, 2500 block Jackson.

5:30 p.m. – EMS, 1300 block Stanislaus.

6:08 p.m. – EMS, River Road, cross of Sexton.

MONDAY, AUG. 5

12:05 p.m. – EMS call, 21000 block Seidner.
