Escalon Fire Calls 7-16-25

Escalon Consolidated Fire District responded to 23 calls for service during the period of Monday, July 7 through Sunday, July 13. Calls included:

SUNDAY, JULY 13

8:14 a.m. – Motor vehicle accident, River and Wagner; automatic mutual aid to Ripon Fire Department.

8:10 p.m. – Emergency Medical Services call, 1600 block David Drive.

SATURDAY, JULY 12

3:55 a.m. – EMS call, 1300 block Dent.

6:09 p.m. – EMS, 1600 block Mitchell.

9:19 p.m. – Fire alarm sounding, 1000 block Escalon Avenue; possible structure fire reported in the area, single story Community Center building with nothing showing but alarm sounding. Determined to be a false alarm.

FRIDAY, JULY 11

5:42 p.m. – EMS call, 2400 block Jessica.

6:19 p.m. – Vehicle fire, Highway 120 and Harrold; tow trailer with overheated brakes located on scene, no fire.

8:48 p.m. – Fire alarm sounding, 2400 block Thaddeous, determined to be a faulty carbon monoxide alarm.

10:30 p.m. – Lift assist, 1300 block Dent.

THURSDAY, JULY 10

9:03 a.m. – Motor vehicle accident, River and Harrold; solo vehicle accident, vehicle on its side with extrication of one subject required. Medics also on scene with one patient complaining of back pain, transported to San Joaquin General Hospital.

12:45 p.m. – Vegetation fire reported, 24000 block River Road at McHenry Recreation Area. Initially two acres involved with moderate rate of spread in heavy brush and grass. Multiple Escalon units responded along with several departments providing mutual aid; fire burned an estimated six acres total with crews spending several hours on scene.

8:11 p.m. – EMS call, 1100 block California.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 9

11:22 a.m. – Smoke investigation, 800 block California; odor of something burning reported in the area, unable to locate anything.

1:09 p.m. – Trash fire, 22000 block East Mariposa; small trash pile on fire, extinguished.

2:51 p.m. – EMS call, 2100 block of Swanson.

TUESDAY, JULY 8

7:23 a.m. – EMS call, 2500 block Jackson.

9:52 a.m. – EMS, 1400 block Brayton.

10:30 a.m. – Trash fire, 2000 block Yosemite; fire in trash can reported, occurred previously, on July 4, information only.

11:11 a.m. – EMS, 1100 block Escalon Avenue.

1:45 p.m. – EMS, 400 block Cardinal Drive.

7:37 p.m. – EMS, 30000 block Danae Lane.
