The Escalon American Legion Post was open for a monthly dinner on Saturday evening, March 16 and though it was just a day before St. Patrick’s Day, the menu was focused on Mexican food. The Legion puts on several monthly dinners during the year, the third Saturday, with the next one being planned for June.

Several dozen people turned out to enjoy the dinner, which is put on for free, though donations accepted. Post members man the food line, serving up the dinner to attendees. Desserts and beverages are provided as well.
