Starting on Wednesday, July 10, there will be intermittent one-way traffic control on McHenry Avenue and River Road between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. as part of the McHenry Avenue improvement project.

The project team will be installing conduits, which are tubes to protect electrical lining, within the intersection.

Motorists are advised to expect minor delays throughout the day, Wednesday through Friday, July 10 through July 12.

In a progress report for the project, officials noted that the new McHenry Avenue Bridge will include a sidewalk on the west side of the bridge.

Crews just finished pouring a sidewalk and putting up the barrier over the Stanislaus River. The new McHenry Avenue Bridge will soon be open for motorists and pedestrians to enjoy.
