County Board Begins Search For Commission Members

The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors is seeking volunteers to serve on some county boards and commissions. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, Sept. 6. The Board of Supervisors will consider qualified applications, received on or before the deadline, at the Board meeting of Oct. 8.

All members appointed by the Board of Supervisors will be required to attend training. Training dates and registration information will be provided by the Clerk of the Board upon appointment.

The Behavioral Health Board has three available positions, one general interest representative and two family representatives.

In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Commission has one open position, for one ‘Other Representative,’ defined as persons who represent one or more of the following areas: Personal Assistance Services Individual or Family Providers; Personal Assistance Services Contract Provider Representative; Social Services Administrative Representative; Licensed Medical Professional; Senior Advocate; Younger Disabled Advocate; Health Care Provider.
