Escalon’s varsity football team will be getting sent off in style Saturday afternoon, Nov. 27 as they head to Stockton for the Sac-Joaquin Section Division 5 final.

The community is encouraged to come out and support the team as they get on the bus and leave the high school parking lot, along Escalon Avenue across from Heritage Church. The team should be leaving the area about 3:15-3:30 p.m. and all are welcome to join the sendoff. There will be an escort for the team as they leave town, going to St. Mary’s High School in Stockton to face off with Hilmar for the Section title. The two Trans-Valley League teams were the last two standing in the division; Escalon defeated Ripon and Hilmar took down Casa Roble in the semifinal round, setting up the final between the two longtime rivals.

Game time is 6 p.m.
