Christmas Celebration Coming To Farmington
COOKIES
Homemade cookies in over a dozen varieties are always a hit at the Farmington Fire Department Christmas gathering for the community, and attendees enjoy them while standing in line for Santa or just visiting with friends.

After being unable to host their festive, in person Christmas gathering in 2020 due to COVID-19, Farmington Fire Department officials are happy to put on the party once again.

Scheduled for Friday, Dec. 17, the evening will feature Christmas carols, lots of homemade cookies and other sweet treats, hot cider, coffee, punch and a visit from Santa Claus.

Doors at the firehouse, corner of Highway 4 and Escalon-Bellota Road, will open at 6:30 p.m., according to Fire Chief Conni Bailey.

“Then Santa arrives at 7 p.m.,” Bailey added.

Typically arriving on the back of a fire truck, Santa takes time to hear Christmas wishes and pose for photos with youngsters, providing a candy cane and small gift for each during the visit.

Bailey said the holiday gathering was sorely missed last year; it is a time for the entire community to come together and share in the festivities and she said the fire department is excited to welcome residents back in for the celebration.
