It was a night for a sea of pink and purple on Thursday, Oct. 6 at Engel Field, as the 2022 edition of the Tiny Cougars cheerleaders took center stage. The young cheerleaders, ranging in age from 5 to 13, was the largest group to ever sign up for the program. Escalon High School cheer coaches and cheer squad members worked with the youngsters to get them ready for their on-field performance, presented during halftime of the varsity football game. The routine included some dancing and some stunts and it was also Pink Out Night for the varsity cheerleaders, shown during the National Anthem modeling their pink shirts in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
