The Oakdale-Riverbank-Escalon branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women) invites the public to support an Oktoberfest fundraiser that will include German food, beer tasting, wine, live music, dancing, gift baskets, and silent and live auctions. The event is set for Sunday, Oct. 20 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave., Oakdale. The proceeds fund scholarships to a science camp for seventh grade girls, speech competition for high school students, and college scholarships.
