ALL RISE mini-grant recipients announced
Judge

Linden High School alum Aaron Judge, Captain of the New York Yankees and Founder of the Aaron Judge ALL RISE Foundation, has announced the May 2025 ALL RISE Mini-Grant recipients, each receiving $3,000. These organizations connect with the ALL RISE mission to inspire children and youth to become responsible citizens and reach unlimited possibilities.

The most recent recipients of funding are HomeMore Project in San Joaquin County, Poverello House in Fresno County and two in the Bronx, the Angellyh Yambo Foundation and PS58 The School of Heroes,

“ALL RISE Mini-Grants continue to provide activities that encourage confidence, teamwork and decision-making tools that align with the ALL RISE Mission. Whether experiencing homelessness, in need of additional educational support, or engaging in opportunities to build up their neighborhoods, I am pleased that these programs are growing students to reach their greatest potential,” said Judge.

The mission of HomeMore Project, San Joaquin County, is to uplift the homeless community by providing realistic, yet innovative solutions to an ongoing crisis. They designed the Makeshift Traveler, a backpack to help someone experiencing homelessness. It features a solar panel with a battery pack and USB charging port, a sleeping bag, poncho, radio, flashlight, a brochure for social services, to name a few. This aligns with ALL RISE by empowering homeless youth with resources that support their well-being. The Makeshift Traveler ensures homeless youth are equipped to stay connected with family and services that support their well-being. This fosters responsibility and resilience, helping young individuals rise above their circumstances.

Poverello House, Fresno County, is a community leader that provides innovative shelter programs for people experiencing homelessness. The ALL RISE Mini-Grant will help provide enrichment workshops for children that focus on science, arts, reading, teamwork, and basic life skills, many of which are led by trained volunteers, including college students, retired teachers, and AmeriCorps fellows.

The Angellyh Yambo Foundation, Bronx, New York is committed to fostering community development to assist victims of gun violence by educating the public through awareness, youth education programs and prevention strategies. The ALL RISE Mini-Grant will help support the Community Mapping Program, working with high school students to explore their neighborhoods through mapping exercises and identifying key challenges such as litter, neglected public spaces, and safety concerns.

The Mission of PS 58-The School of Heroes, Bronx, New York, is to empower students to strive for excellence and achieve their fullest potential. The ALL RISE Mini-Grant will provide funding for “Building Future Heroes Through Baseball” after-school program that integrates leadership development with baseball fundamentals. It would also assist in the purchasing of bats, gloves, balls and bases. This would give students an opportunity to use baseball equipment or learn fundamentals of the game.

All funds donated for the Aaron Judge ALL RISE Mini-Grant program go directly to children and youth programs in San Joaquin County, California; Fresno County, California; and Bronx County, New York, that support their ongoing citizenship and education development.
