A ‘Very Furry’ Christmas Event Scheduled

A Yeti Tundra 35 cooler is one of several silent auction items that will be available at the upcoming “A Very Furry Christmas” event.

Join the City of Oakdale Animal Shelter and the Oakdale Shelter Pet Alliance for holiday family fun at the upcoming “A Very Furry Christmas” event. The shelter serves the communities of Oakdale, Riverbank and Escalon. The holiday gathering for people and their canine companions will be hosted at the Gene Bianchi Community Center Plaza, 110 S. Second Ave., Oakdale, on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Open to all throughout the area, there promises to be something for everyone in the family with face painting, food vendors, craft vendors, music, a dog costume contest, photos with Santa, free prizes for the kids, pet adoptions, a 50/50 raffle, and a silent auction featuring several items. Your friendly dog, on leash, is welcome to join in the festivities.
