Demitrius Snaer, Modesto Junior College professor and Men’s Cross Country coach, is the next presenter for MJC’s Positive People Speaker Series. The free, public presentation is Thursday, Feb. 16, at 6 p.m. in the Mary Stuart Rogers Student Learning Center on West Campus, 2201 Blue Gum Ave., Modesto. Campus parking is available for $2.
Snaer will share his journey from very humble beginnings to becoming a community college state and national champion at San Joaquin Delta College, and an All-American sprinter and Hall of Famer at Fresno State University. Today, Snaer is a college professor and coach dedicated to motivating his students to be successful both in the classroom and on the track.
The speaker series, offered by the MJC Office of Campus Life and Student Learning, features local community members who have overcome challenges and obstacles to achieve their goals. The community is invited to come hear these stories of inspiration and motivation.
The Positive People Speakers Series continues with these upcoming presentations: March 16 – Tamara Mena, motivational speaker and spokesperson; April 6 – The Honorable Ruben Villalobos, Stanislaus County Superior Court Judge.
