Get ready to tremble at a growling, 15-foot-tall T-rex; observe dinosaur mothers tend their broods; examine a nestful of eggs prepare to hatch and so much more at the Stanislaus County Fair July 13 through 22 inside the exhibit building. The exhibit is free with the price of Fair admission and is presented by Doctors Medical Center and Emanuel Medical Center. Inside the dinosaur exhibit, there will also be the Innovation Station, where kids can go on unique adventures that will open up a whole new world, which encourages exploration and innovation.

“Our kids are our future and it’s important to educate them as much as we can,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “By bringing in educational material, where they can explore and let their imagination run wild, we are able to ensure that they learn and become inspired in a fun way.”

Coming all the way from the Age of Reptiles, these prehistoric giants will give aspiring paleontologists of all ages a chance to “bone up” on prehistoric facts. The realistic creatures are manufactured in Los Angeles by Kokoro Dinosaurs using the latest robotic technology. A computer-controlled air compressor gives each dinosaur its own unique sequence of movement and sound. Kokoro Dinosaurs designs each new animal through consultation with paleontologists at museums and universities throughout the United States and Canada. The company molds each dinosaur’s skin from silicone using a patented process based on existing patterns from fossilized dinosaur skin. Because scientists are continually gathering new information on prehistoric animals, the models are updated almost every year. Additionally, the informative descriptions included will certainly enhance the exhibition’s educational value.

The Innovation Station will also be a great exhibit to visit. It is here where one will be able to ignite, build, create, and explore endlessly. High-energy exhibits and demonstrations that dazzle the senses and ignite the imagination will quickly capture any audience. Hands-on excitement will tap the competitive spirit, fuel strategic thinking and build many skills. Interactive spaces in this exhibit will unquestionably inspire creativity and encourage artistic expression.

The 2018 Stanislaus County Fair opens Friday, July 13 for a 10-day run. Fair guests can count on an award-winning experience that has been over 107 years in the making. Discounted Fair admission tickets, unlimited ride wristbands, and the Fair season pass will be on sale beginning Saturday, April 28.
