MAPS explores educational impact of Artificial Intelligence

Scheduled for Friday, Feb. 23 at Modesto Junior College, the next MAPS – Modesto Area Partners in Science – program will delve into Artificial Intelligence.

Specifically, the free 7:30 p.m. program in Sierra Hall 132 on the West Campus will feature Benjamin Cottingham discussing the topic. The presentation, AI in Education: Adaptive Policies for Teaching and Learning, is open to all who are interested. Cottingham serves as the Associate Director, Strategic Partnerships, Policy Analysis for California Education at Stanford University.

In the MAPS presentation, Cottingham will examine how AI models, in particular large language learning models, can be utilized to support educational opportunities that place humans at the center with implications for education system and other professional learning opportunities.

MAPS provides a showcase of experts on a number of topics throughout the year.
