La Grange Odd Fellows Catfish Dinner Slated

Bring the whole family to the Ninth Annual Catfish Dinner, Saturday Aug. 6 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the IOOF Hall on Main Street, sponsored by the La Grange Odd Fellows of Lafayette Historical Lodge #65.

A long-standing summer tradition on the first Saturday of August, the menu is deep-fried catfish fillets, cornbread, coleslaw salad and corn on the cob. A choice of coffee, iced tea or lemonade is included, with ice cream cups for dessert. The price is $12 for adults, $6 for kids ages 6 to 12, with 5 and under eating for free. Take-out dinners are also available.

You can also join the raffle drawing and win one of many swell prizes. Tickets are a $1 donation or six for $5. Dinner and raffle tickets are available at the door or pre-sale.

Also don’t forget the regular monthly breakfast Sunday, Aug. 14. Ham and cheese omelets, sausage, biscuits and gravy and French toast served from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
