Estrada, Wood Marry In Outdoor Ceremony

Nicholas H. Estrada of Oakdale and Danika C. Wood of Torrance were wed May 27 during an outdoor ceremony in Paso Robles, followed by an evening reception for 136 guests.

The groom is the son of Richard and Joanne Estrada of Oakdale. He graduated from Oakdale High School in 2006 and from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2011. He works in San Francisco for Upgrade, a financial services company, and he is an officer in the U.S. Army Reserves.

The bride is the daughter of Jo Ann Shimizu Wood of Carson, CA, and Graham Wood of England. She and the groom met while attending Cal Poly, where she earned an industrial engineering degree. She works as a product manager for Tesla, the electric car manufacturer in Fremont.

The wedding party included the groom’s brother and best man Vincent Estrada of Oakdale, and Kate Dalrymple Brofft of Oakdale. The bride’s sister, Daryn Wood of Torrance, was maid of honor, and her brother, Dylan Wood of Torrance, was a groomsman.

Also in the bridal party were Teresa Romley of San Jose, Missy Johnson and Stephanie Cowherd of Torrance, Nicole Metildi of Rancho Santa Margarita, Laura Gregorich of San Diego, Alex Wargnier of Newbury Park, and Jase, Ryden and Zoey Watanabe of Gardena. John Romley of Bakersfield presided over the ceremony.

The bride wore an Enzoani Jilly dress, and the bridesmaids wore neutral ombre dresses.

The couple traveled to Italy, Croatia and Greece on a three-week honeymoon, and now make their home in San Francisco.
