Mark the calendar for a number of events coming up this year to benefit Community Hospice; events are open to all in the region interested in attending and support this community service program.

Following are a list of some upcoming events.

 

Community Hospice Annual Foundation Gala – Oakdale

Saturday, May 20 – 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Community Hospice Foundation will host its annual Gala, The Great Gatsby Gala, in Oakdale. The event features live music, dinner, hosted bar and dancing. All proceeds benefit patients, families and programs of Community Hospice. Truckin’ For Hospice

Saturday, June 24 – 7 a.m.

The San Joaquin Unit of the California Trucking Association is hosting its annual motorcycle ride, Truckin’ for Hospice, on Saturday, June 24. The charity motorcycle ride benefits Community Hospice and Hospice of San Joaquin. Join in for a day filled with great food, entertainment, raffle and auction prizes. Golf Fore Community Hospice – Modesto

Monday, Sept. 18 – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Community Hospice Foundation is hosting the annual “Golf Fore Community Hospice” a golf tournament fundraiser to benefit the patients, families and programs of Community Hospice. The tournament will follow a four person scramble format. Golfers will enjoy a fun-filled day on the greens, lunch, dinner and silent and live auction. Ladies are invited to the Bubbles and Baubles event and will receive a complimentary exclusive opportunity to sip champagne while enjoying a private shopping experience with local artisans and vendors. Community Hospice is the largest and oldest nonprofit hospice agency in the Central Valley. Serving the community since 1979, Community Hospice has cared for thousands of friends and neighbors offering compassionate and quality care, education and support to terminally ill patients and families, regardless of ability to pay. Care extends to over 2000 patients each year in private homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and at the 16-bed inpatient Community Hospice Alexander Cohen Hospice House. Community Hospice also provides bereavement and grief support to anyone in the community.

 

The Community Hospice Foundation is a charitable organization established in 2001 to raise funds and awareness for Community Hospice.
