Continuing a busy early season schedule, several competitors for the Escalon Wrestling Club took part in a tournament hosted at Summerville High School in Tuolumne County over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

The Sunday, Nov. 30 event saw 11 EWC wrestlers hit the mats.

Second place medals went to Maximus Watson, 6u, 58 pounds, 2-1; and Brody Gentry, 12u, 80 pounds, 2-1.

Taking home third place finishes were Cody Gentry, 10u, 75 pounds, 1-2; Austin Sanchez, 10u, 80 pounds, 2-1; Jax Teixeira, 12u, 90 pounds, 1-2; Gunnar Hawes, 15u, 130 pounds, 2-1.

Josiah Freitas was a fourth place finisher for a medal in the 6u division, 45 pounds, 2-2.

Also competing were Leonidas Watson, 6u, 45 pounds; Hunter Barrett, 6u, 45 pounds; Luke Sanchez, 10u, 70 pounds; Anthony Teicheira, 15u, 95 pounds.
