A non-league match against Calaveras on Thursday, March 8 saw the Cougars prevail on the tennis courts, and then they headed to Riverbank for doubles tournament play on Friday. Against the visiting Calaveras squad, the host Escalon team took a convincing win, with top notch efforts from number one girls singles Amanda Salvador and number two boys singles Jack Fitzgerald. “Amanda won 10-8 in a tiebreaker to get the win,” first year head coach Jack Berry said.
