The NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series made its way west for the final two races of the 2025 season. First stop was the 25th annual Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals powered by Direct Connection at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The competition took place from Oct. 30 through Nov. 2.
Two-time NHRA Series Top Fuel champion Brittany Force announced in September that she was stepping out of the driver’s seat at the end of the 2025 season to focus on starting a family. Until then, she remains a force to be reckoned with on the track.
Force qualified on the pole for the first of her final two races. After picking up her 58th career pole she went wire-to-wire on Sunday, Nov. 2. Force had a first-round bye, beat Clay Millican in round two, Tony Stewart in the semifinal round, then Shawn Langdon in the final round with a 3.704-second elapsed time at 337.33 mph to defeat Langdon’s 3.727 at 333.91. With her 19th career victory she broke a tie with racing legend Shirley Muldowney as the winningest female Top Fuel driver in NHRA history. This was Force’s second win of the season and her fifth at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The Top Fuel points standing has Doug Kalitta leading teammate Shawn Langdon by 144 points as the series heads to Pomona for the season finale.
Four-time series Funny Car champion Matt Hagan kept himself in the 2025 championship fight with a win over the points leader. On Sunday, Hagan took out Cruz Pedregon, Chad Green, and Daniel Wilkerson before taking down Austin Prock in the final. Hagan put up a 3.877-second elapsed time at 327.03 mph to defeat the reigning champ Prock. With his victory, Hagan has pulled within 101 points of Prock with just one race to go. This was Hagan’s 55th career win and his second in the last five races.
In Pro Stock, Dallas Glenn extended his points lead on Sunday by capturing his 21st career win and eighth of the season. Glenn, who lost in round one of this event a year ago which in turn allowed teammate Greg Anderson to take over the points lead and eventually win his sixth championship, was not to be denied this time around. In round one Glenn defeated Dave Connolly, got past five-time series champion Erica Enders in round two, drove away from teammate Anderson in the semifinals and defeated Matt Hartford in the final round.
Glenn takes a commanding 92-point lead into the NHRA Finals at Pomona.
In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Gaige Herrera picked up his seventh win of the season and 28th of his career. This was the third straight year Herrera has won the NHRA Nevada Nationals. With his victory on Sunday, Herrera tightened up the Pro Stock Motorcycle points battle to 21 points. Just one round separates Herrera and teammate Richard Gadson heading into the season finale in Pomona. Herrera squared off against Angie Smith in the final round and put a 6.809-second, 198.17-mph pass on the board to defeat Smith’s 6.813 at 199.37 mph.
The Mission Foods drag racing series will travel to Southern California’s In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragway for the In-N-Out Burger Finals from Nov. 13 through 16.
